This is a still life composition of a vase with flowers on a square table. The vase is decorated with patterns of rectangle lines and stylized with gold circles and placed virtually in the centre of the painting, on a table lined with a gold and metallic luxurious cloth. The bright orange flowers form relatively symmetrical oval patterns with small triangles in between them, representing the leaves. The muted colour of the brown background spattered with gold painted in a quick motion with knife, acts as wallpaper and gives dynamism to the static composition.
