In this painting the coordinated texture for the background and defined spherical forms for the blossom flowers have more subtle effect.  The lines of the background are less eminent created with spontaneous and long fast movements in opposite directions from the flowers giving a sense of motion. The curved stalks are harmonious as if they were blown by the autumn wind. The dominant colour is red attracting the eyes into the painting. The yellow and gold colours of the flowers make it appears brighter. This technique of blending different areas of colour and tone has a vivid saturation.
